A bunch of great movies now on sale for $15 or less (plus other noteworthy deals).
Folks, we’re mere days away from Black Friday. As everyone already knows, it’s always one of the best times to go wild buying phyiscal media for yourself and others. As part of its Black Friday Week Sale, Amazon is cutting prices on tons of Blu-rays and 4K UHD discs. Some of the standout offers are on movies and TV shows at their lowest prices ever, like on Matt Reeves’ The Batman in 4K and Season 1 of Arcane that comes with an art book. Others are matching prices that haven’t been available since July 2023. Some are just decent price cuts worth jumping on. Take a look; I’ll be updating throughout the week.
The $15 and Under Bargain Bin
What a treat it once was digging through a store’s huge pile of bad movies on sale for next to nothing to find that one diamond in the rough. Luckily, the quality of the movies in Amazon’s online equivalent of a bargain bin is quite good. I found a bunch of great movies for ultra-cheap, including the aforementioned The Batman, The Thing at its lowest price since July ’23, Across the Spider-Verse, Gladiator, Blade Runner: Final Cut, John Wick: Chapter 4, and loads more. Scroll through to see.
Box Sets and Collections
As it was written: Tons of giftable (and collectable) box sets of movies and TV series are on sale at pretty steep discounts. Highlights include Denis Villenueve’s two-film Dune set at its best-ever price, several eras of Batmen for cheap, a limited edition Star Trek box set for Sir Patrick Stewart heads, a very sick-looking Bruce Lee greatest hits box set, a collection of all six Terminator movies, the ultimate Alfred Hitchcock collection, and plenty of others. Scroll through to see them all.
Steelbooks and Limited Editions
A bunch of these are looking pretty dang appealing right now, especially that Stand By Me steelbook, the Spider-verse collector’s edition two-film set now at its lowest price ever, The Fifth Element limited edition steelbook, and, to appease Mr. Movies himself, the movie formerly known as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
Other Good Deals on Movies
These are sales on regular ol’ Blu-rays and 4K UHDs, some of which are at their lowest prices ever (like Godzilla Minus One and Alien: Romulus). Others are deals that maybe aren’t unique to Black Friday (ahem, Deadpool & Wolverine) but still warrant some attention, especially if you’re been eyeing them already.
More Black Friday Deals to Check Out
We’re in the home stretch: Black Friday falls on November 29 this year. All month long, retailers have been rolling out sales, ramping up to massive discounts on Black Friday and through the weekend into Cyber Monday. Aside from movies, there are already some fantastic deals available on PS5 consoles (including PSVR2) and controllers, video games for all platforms, AirPods Pro, and tons more.
