The official website for the television anime adaptation of Izumi Sawano and Uri Sugata‘s Kisaki Kyouiku kara Nigetai Watashi (I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons) manga revealed additional cast, staff, theme songs, key visual (pictured), and a promotional video on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 5 at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by BS Fuji.
Wataru Hatano (Fairy Tail) and Yuka Saitou (Persona 5 the Animation) are joining the cast as Nadir and Briana, respectively.

Jun Fukuyama, who voices Clarke in the anime, is performing the opening theme “Kimi to shika Koishinai” and DIALOGUE+ (Lv2 kara Cheat datta Motoyuusha Kouho no Mattari Isekai Life, Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai) performs the ending theme “Alibi na Curtsy.” The opening is previewed in the promotional video below.
Shinobu Tagashira (Itou Junji: Collection) is directing and designing the characters at EMT Squared. Tomoko Kanemaki (Kingdom Hearts light novels) is handling the series composition.
Sawano and Sugata began serializing the romance fantasy manga in Comic PASH! magazine in March 2020. Shufu to Seikatsusha published the fifth volume in November 2023.
Kisaki Kyouiku kara Nigetai Watashi is based on Sawano’s novel series, which originally began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in August 2018. Shufu to Seikatsusha acquired the novel and published the first volume under its PASH! Books imprint in April 2019, featuring illustrations by Miru Yumesaki. The second and final volume was released in March 2020.
J-Novel Club licensed both the manga and light novel for digital release in English. The second and final light novel volume was released in November 2023. The third manga volume went on sale on July 17.
