The official website for the new television anime adaptation of Gosho Aoyama‘s Yaiba manga revealed a pair of additional cast and a second teaser promotional video on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2025 every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV.
Katsuyuki Konishi (Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Junichi Suwabe (Black Clover) are joining the cast as Kenjuurou Kurogane and Musashi Miyamoto, respectively.
Takahiro Hasui (Mob Psycho 100 III) helms the anime at Wit Studio. Touko Machida (Isekai Nonbiri Nouka) is handling tthe series composition and Yoshimichi Kameda (Mob Psycho 100) is designing the characters. Yutaka Yamada (Great Pretender) and Yoshiaki Dewa (Jigokuraku) are composing the music.
Aoyama serialized the action adventure manga in Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine from 1988 to 1993. Shogakukan collected the chapters into 24 volumes from 1989 to 1994. Produced by Pastel, the 52-episode television anime aired from 1993 to 1994.
