The official website of the Yoru wa Neko to Issho (Nights with a Cat) anime series revealed a pair of additional cast, theme song, and a promotional video for the third season on Friday. The new season will begin streaming on December 4 at 8:00 p.m. on the series’ official YouTube channel.
Aoi Yuuki (Boku no Hero Academia) amd Takuya Eguchi (Spy x Family) are joining the cast as Kombu Chikuwa and Miyami-senpai, respectively.
Kashitaro Ito (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) is returning to perform the theme song “Aisazu niwa Irarenai,” previewed in the promotional video.
Minoru Ashina (Snack Basue) returns to helm and script the new season at Studio PuYUKAI. Other returning staff includes Minoru Takehara (Isekai Quartet) and Kana Utatane (Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi) as character designer and music composer, respectively.
The anime series adapts Kyuru Z‘s comedy slice of life manga, which they originally launched on their Nekonavi blog and Twitter (now X) under the title Zutto Neko Shoshinsha in December 2019. Kadokawa began publishing the manga the following October and released the sixth volume on May 22.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in November 2021. The third volume went on sale on March 19, with the fourth volume planned for a December 10 release.
