Voice actor Yuu Hayashi, best known for his roles as Manjiro “Mikey” Sano in Tokyo Revengers and Ryuunosuke Tanaka in Haikyuu!! (Haikyu!!), announced his marriage to a non-industry partner on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday.
“I, Yuu Hayashi, have registered my marriage with someone outside the entertainment industry. I am only able to pursue my career thanks to the ongoing support of everyone. I will continue to work hard to bring joy to all of you through my acting and singing. I hope you’ll warmly watch over me as I go forward, and I thank you for your continued support,” Hayashi wrote on his post.
Starting his career at age five with the theater group Himawari, Hayashi performed as a child actor in television dramas and commercials before expanding into voice acting, particularly in dubbing Western films. In 2013, he debuted as part of the music duo SCREEN mode alongside Masatomo Ota under the Lantis label.
Now represented by Ken Production, Hayashi’s voice acting credits include notable roles in Bungou Stray Dogs (Bungo Stray Dogs) as Michizou Tachihara, Cheer Danshi!! (Cheer Boys!!) as Kouji Toono, and Muhyo to Rouji no Mahouritsu Soudan Jimusho as Jirou.
